Climate Quiz #1

Even after doing last night's homework, our knowledge of the climate change, the possibility of global warming, and the current climate forum in Copenhagen, Denmark is limited.

As global citizens it is our responsibility to become educated on this global issue, not just for the world, but for our own success.

Post your score and reflection below (a reflection should be a self evaluation of how you performed, how you approached the quiz, what you were surprised at in questions/results, what you were not surprised at... was there anything that you knew for sure?)

I got a 70% I was not surprised since I'm a Super Genius and what not.
I took classes and met COP15 Delegates, It's my specialty.

I got 6 out of 10 right. The answers that I got right, a lot of them i guessed on. This information surprised me.

I got a 40% on the quiz and then i memorized the answers and tried to take the test again but it was different questions so i got a 30% the second time. I am not shocked by this grade because i really didn't know most of the questions so i just guessed. I'm sure the next time i take this quiz i will get a better grade.

I got a 30% on the climate quiz. I didn't totally fail, I mean I only got 3 right but I really don't know much about the climate. I really didn't understand half the questions.

Destiny Baez said...

I've got 7 out of 10 right on the quiz. I practically guessed on most of them. I was shocked with the results,

Andrea Puno said...

I wasn't really shocked that I got a 40% on the quiz since I know nothing about climate change. I probably know a little bit about it but not like what I had expected it to be. I was pretty clueless about most of the questions asked which I have never even heard of before. I took the quiz again and my score increased 10% which got me a 50%, well at least I got half the questions right but I still failed.

Azmi C. said...

I got a 50% which wasn't that good but there still are more tests on the site that i can try to pass. So in the mean time i will try to learn more about the climate so I can pass.

Mr. Miano said...

I was shocked that i got a 50% on this quiz!!! There were definitely some answers that I thought I knew for sure and got wrong, and there were some that I had never heard of but thought my guesses were right from the process of elimination. So I guess I FAILED for Quiz #1, BUT I am going to look over these sights and take it again of course!

I got a 9 out of 10 which is pretty werid because I'm not a big fan of the environment. However, in middle school I learned about green houses gases and I had some background knowledge. However, this makes me realize that our world is not producing their resources as much and the minister for climate and energy is Connie. I literally guess that question since I have a friend named Connie from Denmark.

Deena LoIacono said...

I got a 10% because those were the dumbest questions ever.

Nicholas Bonet said...

I got 50%, it wasn't that shocking. Some of the questions I knew like the question about what was NOT a greenhouse gas. I wasn't surprised with the results there were some things that I didn't know or even hear of.

selina94 said...

i was surprised i got 3 out of 10 right i can tell i did not know anything about greenhouse gas at all but its ok i guess ill have better luck next time now that i know the answers

i got a 30% because i don't know or care about danish people or denmark. And because the questions were ridiculous.

^and the girl commenting above me is just being nice. . she didn't like the quiz either

Adriana Pinzon said...

I got 60% on this quiz. I was very surprised I got this many right. I wasn't expecting to be correct on any of them. The questions were very difficult and challenging. I had no idea that all of these things were taking place. The qiuz was very informative too.

HBEKHIT said...

First taking the quiz made me surprised because i basically didn't know anything i was taking the test on. although i guessed on most of the questions i still learned a lot based on this information since after taking the quiz it gave me the right answers. It was cool! =)

Calvin L. said...

I got a 6 out of 10 on the quiz. I didn't know some of the questions but i knew the geenhouse gasses because I did an essay on it before, also watched a movie. But questions on the danish was something I didn't know.

I got a 40% on the quiz, which wasn't surprising. Most of the questions were confusing, or I just knew nothing about them. I'm not upset, I expected a score around this amount because I know nothing about these issues.

I got a 60% on the quiz and I am surprised, I know nothing about greenhouse gases, so i guess i have pretty good guessing skills. And Matt Taylor, your not a super genius, get over yourself. Anyways back to the topic, I learned a lot of information about greenhouse gases. I'm happy with my quiz result.

bianca amparo said...

On the quiz I received a 40 because i really didn't understand the questions on the quiz.I am not surprised that I didn't get a high score because the questions were about something that I don't know much about.

I got a 9/10 but thats what i get for being a super genius. But then again i always was interested in chemistry and science, even though i don't really think climate change is caused by human activity.

I got a 20% on the climate quiz. It was EXTREMELY hard. It was like reading a totally different language. The only thing I really understood was the "Green house gases" and "climate"... Over all I really don't want to take a quiz like that again. It was hard and thats it. I got 2 out of 10...

I got a six out of ten on the climate quiz which i found fairly accurate because i knew five of them due to prior knowledge. The other one i got right because of luck. This quiz is a challenge but i learned a great deal of information from it.

I got a 40% on the Climate Quiz. It was difficult and the questions were about things I never learned about before. I wanna learn more on the topic of Climate and hope to get a higher grade next time I take the quiz. Also I was confused that I didn't know anything because Climate is a very big problem and I wanna learn more about it. I want at least a 70%.

matea kulusic said...

I got a 70%. I was surprised that I got that much considering that I guessed on 6 of the 10 questions. Some of the questions (the 4 that I didn't guess on) had obvious answers to them (at least I think they did). The rest were difficult. This quiz was quick and informative.

J Mercanto said...

on this quiz i received a 90 % . I have to say those answers just seemed easy to answer. I am happy with my grade. Mr Miano cant keep up with my knowledge......... with his 50 %

Megan said...

I got a 80% on this quiz, which I thought was really strange. To be honest, I did not know most of the answers to the questions and I guessed to most of them. I am proud to say I am a great guesser! It was a good quiz to test our knowledge on major world problems, that we didn't really know that much about.

I got a 30% on the quiz and I wasn't surprised because many of the questions I didn't know. The only question I knew was "What are greenhouse gases?" I got that right, but the other two I was surprised to get correct because I pretty much guessed on everything. One of the questions that surprised me was "How large a part of the Danish electricity consumption was covered by renewable energy in 2007?". The answer was 20 percent and it was interesting to learn how much renewable energy we were able to use.

Gary Golub said...

I believe i did ok on this project because i am not very good with climate and to get 5 out of 10 is a good learning experience. the questions i got wrong i read why i got them wrong and i believe i would do better the next time i take it.

matthew prevosti said...

i got a 60.. yeah thats right mr.miano a sixty.. 60-50=10 thats ten pionts higher.. lets go!!!!!! well i thought i could have done better because ive done multiple projects involving climate and global warming.. ill do better next time.

I got a 5 out of 10 on the climate quiz, yay for failure! Haha. Well, I mean that's what I get for not being that interested in the climate? I learned...well, I'm smarter now than i was 10 minutes ago! :D

I got a 60% on this quiz. I don't know what to think about this quiz, because Im not going work with any green house gasses or Danish people either. Or who the minister for climate and energy in denmark is.
Yeah okay, this is a big deal for some people, but not soo much for me.
blahh.. =)

I got a 20% because I pressed next without even picking or reading the question. I was way too lazy.

Christian Luk said...

i got a 7 out of 10 Muahahahahaha! i got higher than mister miano. i did not expect to get this high because i do not study a lot of environment. but i DID do an essay on the ozone layer and i watched an episode of tim and mobby and the ozone layer.

On this climate quiz i got a 3O%. I was very surprised by these answers because i actually thought that i knew what i was talking about and i know a lot about climate control. This quiz showed that obviously i don`t know what i`m talking about and i need some help in this area. I thought it was a good quiz with good questions.

A.Figsz said...

It was graded that I got a 3 out of 10. Now I would usually say that the quiz was dumb and the waste of my time but it actually showed me that I know nothing about my world and the Environment. I am usually not that into the world and the climate and how the world changes. Matter of fact I can careless. Which is a bad idea. The quiz makes me think what kind of person am I that does not know about my own world. Hopefully from the many more quizes that I probably have to take that I will get a higher grade. Maybe learn a little bit more about my planet (the place that I live on).

After finding out that I received a 50/100 or a 5/10, I realized how much I do not know about the Climate, as well as other important factors that effect the Earth. For many of the answers, I used my knowledge to take an educated guess. There may have been one or two answers where I was sure of the answer but all the others were basically guesses. With the quiz alone I've learned more about the Climactic factors, and different ideas related to the Climate.

i got a 2 out of 10 on the global warming quiz guess that means that i don't know that much about it and should learn more about global warming . being that its like killing us all slowly.

Jamie Miller said...

I got a 30% on the climate change quiz. I wasn't suprised because i really don't remember learning about the green house gases and the rest of the material that was on the quiz. The questions were very random and specific which makes them a lot harder to answer.

alex manger said...

i got a 60 out of 10 which is pretty good because i didn't know much about it, i pretty much just guessed 2 every time. it was a lot harder then i thought it would be. But then again i don't know much about greenhouse gases.

Lennie Giordano said...

Haha i got 9 out of 10 whats good =). I think it was an interesting quiz and teaches you a lot about how the climate is really changing. I pretty much knew all the answers because i watch lot of news and keep up with all the stuff. I think i should go to conference in Denmark since i got higher than my teacher =p.

james casella said...

I got a 30% on the quiz. I thought that the quiz would be easier and I would get a better. I didn't learn much about the greenhouse gases so thats why I didn't get a good grade.

after taking that quiz i felt a little slow. i thought i knew more then just 4 of them, but i guess not. i wasn't suprised seeing my score but maybe next time.

on the climate quiz i got a 7/ out of 10 =) it was really wierd how i knew what they were asking =) so i guess i know a little bit about global climate =) that makes me feel a little smart =)

My test grade was 30% which is really not good. I really was expecting to get a bad grade because based on the questions i didn't know the answers. However, I didn't think it would be this bad. Getting three out of a ten is better than nothing , but now I am determined to do better next time. I will probably do better next time also because now I have seen the quiz and what the next quiz might look like. This quiz kinda made me realize that I need to pay attention and learn more about the earth around me and what might be happening to it like global warming.

I got a 5 out of 10 or a 50%. I was surprised when I saw that, AND I DID NOT GUESS. I used logic...... apparently if everyone guessed and GOT A BETTER SCORE THAN MR.MIANO, I should guess more. Anyways, I thought it was okay. Wasn't that hard.

Chris Frank 24 said...

On the climate quiz i received a 80. although i guessed on one or two questions but i still learned a lot based on this information. I know a lot about greenhouse gases but i do not have a clue about the wind turbines in Denmark, but now I do. Now that I've taken this quiz, I know what to expect for the next one.
